Advanced Meta-Programmes

Leading-edge learning

Charles Faulkner offers advanced courses in the underlying principles and perceptions of the various models of human experience that make up Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Move beyond NLP techniques and history into the perceptual unity within (and between) each of its models. For counsellors this means being able to "see" the structure of client difficulties. For consultants this provides interventions with no discernible techniques. For change agents these are fully scalable instruments and interventions - applicable to individuals and organisations alike.

This is the first course in Charles' advanced programme.

Why this course is special?

Each person sorts for different types of information through the senses. Meta-programmes are the deeper, more fundamental and wholly unconscious filters to our perception. How we run our meta-programmes shapes our experience of life. Currently, meta-programmes are taught as either an amorphous catch-all category or a small number of patterns primarily for business (usually only 14 of an estimated 60 key distinctions). In answer to this, Charles is offering full-on, intensive study of meta-programmes.

What you will learn:

  • What really makes a meta-programme. Learn the bio-phenomenological basis of each meta-programme category (and how to use this knowledge for change).
  • How meta-programmes distinctions are at the base of each of the NLP models. For example, the sub-modalities distinction of location (of a sight, a sound or a feeling) is made up of the meta-programmes of perceptual position, chunk size, and direction that function across representational systems.
  • How meta-programmes interact with each other. For example, the sub-modalities distinction of location is directly related to spatial anchoring. Increasing the distinctions in one NLP model will increase the distinctions in the other via the underlying meta-programmes. Further, meta-programmes affect the form of one's values, beliefs, and even identity.
  • Learn how certain meta-programme configurations can limit the effectiveness of change techniques. Use this knowledge to identify the optimal change processes.
  • How the Content meta-programmes influence the category of one's desires and how other meta-programmes can limit one's range of action and flexibility.
  • How to Model with the full meta-programmes. Learn advanced elicitation techniques including analogue and digital (words) cues as well as their number, order, and intensity. Discover which meta-programmes function for each strategy (Motivation, Decision, Conviction) and in which part of which T.O.T.E.
  • HOW TO CHANGE META-PROGRAMMES. Thought too difficult or impossible, this limiting assumption will be taken apart with demonstrations and techniques in no less than five different categories of change processes.
